# Map View

Map view shows your assigned sites on a map. 

# Using the Map tools

## Watch your location

Tap the :watchLocation: Watch Location icon to watch your current location on the map. When you tap this icon the map will display your current location and will follow you as you change location (unless you have turned on **Stop bounds changes**). 

## Allow/Stop bounds changes 

Tap the   Allow/Stop bounds changes icon to control whether the map view changes when you apply filters to the site list and map or when your location changes. 

By default, if you filter the site list the map bounds will change to include all the sites that match the filter. This can mean that the view moves away from your current settings. If you want to retain your current view settings, use this tool to disable map changes when filters are applied.

## Declutter the map

If your outlets are close together they may overlap on the map and it may be difficult to tell their location. Tap the **Declutter** tool on the map to move the outlet symbols apart. The exact outlet locations are shown by a line drawn from each outlet icon to the outlet location.

> ℹ️ If you enable decluttering it will stay on until it is turned off.

## Show/Hide overlays

This controls the visibility of any custom overlays that might be available for your map. If no overlays have been configured this will have no effect on the map.
